Introducing Ken Lawson
Ken started Highland Dancing at the age of 6 with the Jean Reynolds School of Dancing in Edinburgh. During the summer and school holidays his parents took him to compete at many Highland Games and he was lucky enough to dance at Cowal Highland Gathering where he was best Highland dancer in the UK Under 16 and runner up in the World Championship in the same age group. In his late teens Ken turned to Scottish Country Dancing and joined our Demonstration Group dancing in An Edinburgh Fancy in the Old Royal High School.
Now that Ken has retired, he wishes to put something back into Scottish Country Dancing and in particular Highland steps in our dances.
