Introducing Kitty Shaw

Kitty started highland dancing at the age of 5 in Invergordon and was hooked on dancing from an early age. She remembers a Primary 2 school teacher berating her for skipping across the classroom and insisting she should walk. She then took up country dancing with Edinburgh Branch as a teenager and never looked back.

She has been a member of the branch demonstration team for many years and appeared in several of our summer shows as well as representing the branch overseas.

Kitty started teaching dancing while at university with a large group of beginners for New Scotland in the McEwan Hall and has since taught classes in both Edinburgh and East Lothian.

Kitty has real love for dancing which she hopes to pass onto our Beginners at Greenbank.
