Introducing Theresa MacVarish Clark

I started Scottish country dancing in Lochaber when I was a child and continued in Oban as a teenager dancing at school and in local shows. When I moved to Edinburgh in the late 1970s to work as a primary teacher, I joined Edinburgh Branch dancing in the demonstration team. I took my teachers’ certificate in 1986.

Over the years I have danced and taught in many countries including Japan, The Netherlands, USA, Canada and the former Yugoslavia. For many years I taught classes in Edinburgh Branch. Recently I was on the teaching staff at Summer School in St Andrews and last year I taught in Perth and Perthshire Branch Spring Classes and Summer Dances season as well as dancing and supporting the class in Pitlochry.
