Support Us

Throughout our entire history so many of our members have generously given us their time and enthusiasm. It is the dedication of such people that has enabled us to achieve all that we have since 1924.

Support the future of Scottish Country Dancing by making a gift or legacy

We are fortunate to have benefited from financial gifts and legacies. The scale of the donations we have received over the years has varied enormously, but each and every one is important.

As a charity we rely on donations. With our activities temporarily suspended some of our vital funding has disappeared. We’d be very grateful if you could donate the price of your weekly class or dancing activity.

Your donation today will help us until it is safe for us to dance together again. Your donation to us will help us to bring the traditions of Scottish country dancing to future generations.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a form of income tax relief designed to benefit charities like the RSCDS Edinburgh Branch. If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25% because the charity can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift at no extra cost to you.

More details on Gift Aid can be found at: www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid

Leave a legacy – How will my gift help?

By leaving a legacy to the Edinburgh Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society Anniversary Fund, you not only help to build a resilient, dynamic future for Scottish dancing; your gift will also support meaningful initiatives such as training new teachers and musicians, supporting talented young dancers, or investing in our communities through access to our schools’ outreach programmes.

Broadening our audience is a key aim of our Anniversary Fund. Your donation today will help us to achieve this through supporting new teachers and musicians, so they are ready to teach and play for the next generation of dancers, encouraging young dancers to participate in Scottish country dancing, and allowing us to reach a new audience of Scottish dancers.

Many gifts and legacies are made for very personal reasons and often to act as a memorial for a family member or friend. Find out more as to how a gift in your will can make a real difference in the future to Scottish Dancing.
